Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
the Easter Triduum is the high point of the Christian year. The Lord's Passion and Death is followed by His glorious Resurrection.
On this 4th Sunday of Lent, as we proceed deeper into our faith, we get to know more and more who we are as Christians, and what we believe as Catholics.
On this Third Sunday of Lent, the Sacred Scripture gives us 10 Commandments, the Cross of Christ, and the cleansing of the Temple, after which our Lord Jesus shows that He knows what is in the human heart.
This is the First Sunday of Lent. Our Lord Jesus calls us to repent and believe in the good news.
On this 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time, we observe the World Day of the Sick. We also venerate Our Lady of Lourdes.
Illness, especially chronic illness or terminal illness, old age, and failing strength seem to be our theme for this Sunday, especially in the First Reading and the Gospel.
